My great grandfather John Wesley CRIPLIVER was with the Ohio 14th OVI out of Toledo, Ohio and he was with them on the march to Atlanta but by the time he reached Dalton GA. He got chronic diarhea (now dystentery) and had to be taken back to Chattanooga, Tennessee. But was back with the regiment when they were ready to leave for Savannah. His brother James CRIPLIVER was with the 111th and went to Bowling Green, Kentucky in August of 1862 after he enlisted, by December 26th of 1862, he was dead from measles and exposure to the weather. Many of his regiment sent money back home to his mother, by one of the wounded men, because James at 18 was the oldest child in the family and their father had died by then. And James was the breadwinner then. Nance Ps. this information I gave you was from each of their pension papers. Nance +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
