They are: George F. Hirth, proprietor of a job printing office. Helen Hirth, his sister. Aggie Felker. These, with three others, went to the park to spend the day. While taking a row on the river a sailboat came so near that a collision was feared, and in a rush to the other side of the boat, it was overturned. The others were saved without injury. Adrian Daily Telegram, Friday, July 5, 1901 - pg 3 One of the most awful disasters that has occured in Toledo in a good while happened at Walbridge park yesterday, which resulted in three drowning. There were six in the party crowded into a small row boat, and getting too far to one side upset the boat. The drowned were George Hirth, Helen Hirth and Agnes Felker. The other three of the party were rescued. Helen Hirth was rescued before life was extinct, but in spite of the efforts of Dr. Williams, of this city, who happened to be present, she passed away. The bodies of the others were found.
