Mrs. Sophie Lewandowski, 76, of 2323 Shoreland Ave., Apt. 301, died Saturday in
her home. She was the widow of Anthony Lewandowski. Surviving are her brothers,
Harold and Steve Zaleski, and sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Czyznikiewicz and Mrs.
Jeanne Hecht. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert's Church.
Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Gasiorowski Memorial, where
the body will be after 7 tonight. 

Additional Comments:
Sophie Zaleski Lewandowski was born Zofia Zalewska in Luberadz, Plock, Poland on
25 April 1905 to Franciszek Zalewski and Tekla Hetmanska. Sophie came to the
United States through New York with her parents and sister Catherine (Katarzyna)
on 9 October 1911. She married Anthony Lewandowski of Scranton, Lackawanna,
Pennsylvania, on 18 January 1926 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan.
