[verbatim transcription] Mr. NEUER had been a resident of Toledo for 43 years, having come here from [Wurrtemburg] Germany. Death was caused by paralysis following a three-year illness. Besides his wife, Mr. Neuer is survived by two sons, Joseph NEUER, Jr., Toledo, [Lucas County, Ohio], and John [J.] NEUER, Erie, [Erie County, Pennsylvania]; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph [Mary] Zeiler, [Sr.] [Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio]; brother, Anthony NEUER, Delta [Lucas County, Ohio], and two brothers and four sisters in Germany. Additional Comments: Josef 'Joseph' NEUER was born in Wurrtemburg, German, and emigrated to America in the early 1880's in his early teens, as a butcher; he became a naturalized citizen in the early 1890's. He was married to the former Elisabetha BOEHM, born in Bavaria, Germany. She emigrated to America in the early 1880's, as well. Joseph was employed in the meat business in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio for most of his 43 years in this country. His family belonged to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, USA.
