"NEUER

"Irene [HESS] NEUER, 84, 607 East 26th, formerly of 554 W. 31st, died Friday, 
at St. Mary's Geriatric Hospital.

She was born in Erie May 16, 1897, the daughter of the late John C. and 
Margaret Daub HESS.  She retired in 1965 after 20 years as a clerk-typist for 
the Pennsylvania Railroad.  She was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway 
Clerks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John James NEUER; and by one 
brother, Clarence J. HESS.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Howard of Boca Raton, 
Fla., and Mary L. THOMPSON of Erie [Erie County, Pa]; two sons, Dr. Richard J. 
NEUER and Dr. John F. NEUER, both of North East, Pa.; two sisters, Miss 
Elizabeth [Emma] Hess and Sister Mary Benigna, S.S.J. [Ruth Hess]; both of 
Erie, [Erie County, Pa]; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker, Jr. Funeral Home, 215 West 25th, 
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of 
service at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery [Erie, Erie County, Pa]."

Irene Hess Neuer was the wife of John James Neuer, deceased [1957] formerly of 
Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, USA.
