DeLeon of that place has received a back pension of $900. Fountain Park, Magnetic Springs, near Woodstock will be opened Thursday, June 10th, with a grand time - music, roller skating and dancing. That noble hero, General Durbin Ward, died in the arms of Thomas Proctor, Lebanon's Democratic editor, who several years ago was foreman of the Enterprise office, this place. Martin Van Fleet, defaulting treasurer of Huron county, O., who absconded two years ago with $65,000 of county funds, extradited at Ottawa, Ontario, and returned to Norwalk, O. The machine had to be broken before the hand could be removed. If Mrs. Margaret Arnold, who lives with her son, Henry Arnold, in Perry Township, Pickaway county, lives until July 4th, she wil be 109 years of age. She was born in Augusta county, Va, and is well preserved for her age. Her eyesight is good, but her hearing is defective. A locomotive engine at Bellaire exploded last Thursday killing Geo. Johnson, John Vandevort and Matthew Hammond, engineers and fireman. Two of the men were blown from 200 to 300 yards and all were fearfully mangled. They lived in Newark. Andrew Lellis, better known as "Bud" Lellis, a young blacksmith at Catawba, attempted to jump from a north bound train at Mechanicsburg, and get on a south bound train that stopped at Catawba Station. He misjudged the distance between the tracks and was struck by the cow-catcher of the moving train and knocked under the wheels. His right leg and body were horribly mangled and he lived about three hours. He leaves a young wife and babe, the former being a sister of Mrs. Auditor S.M. Prugh of this place.
