Mother of County Commissioner Amer F. Elliott Dies at Columbus Hospital
  Mrs. Mamie Miriam Elliott aged 69 years, mother of County Commissioner, Amer
F. Elliott, of Marysville, died Sunday evening at 5 o'clock in a Columbus,
hospital, following a long illness of a complication of diseases.
  She was born March 23, 1863,in Union Township, and was a daughter of James and
Malinda Converse McCloud, deceased. Her mother was a native of Madison county.
She was united in marriage to Linville H. Elliott at Williamsport, Ohio, in
April 22, 1886. The family lived near Chuckery, where Mr. Elliott was engaged in
farming for a number of years. His death occurred October 2, 1917.
  Mrs. Elliott was a graduate of Union township schools and also of Ohio
Northern University at Ada. She was a life long resident of Union county and a
member of the Lewis Chapel M.E. Church, D.A.R. and the Harmony Club of Rosedale.
  She is survived by her son, Amer F. Elliott, of Marysville, one brother, Jerry
McCloud, of Clifton Springs. N.Y., and one sister, Mrs. G.F. Morse, of Tulsa,
Okla. A daughter died in infancy.
  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home of her
son in Marysville conducted by Rev. L.V. Simms, and interment was made in the
Milford Center mausoleum in charge of E.S. Faulkner, mortician of Marysville.
