Putnam County Sentinel, October 18, 1888 p. 3

At the residence of his brother in Liberty township, Putnam County, O., on 
Thursday, October 11th, 1888, Lawrence Welsh, aged 20 years, 1 month and 20 
days.  The deceased was a young man highly respected by all who knew him.  He 
leaves sisters, brothers and many friends to mourn his death.  He was buried at 
Glandorf last Saturday.

Additional Comments:
Lawrence was the son of James and Catherine (Cavanaugh) Welch and brother of 
John, Bryan, Margaret (Welch) Fischer, Mary (Welch) Burkhart Ball, and Michael 
Welch.  Grandson of Bryan and Mary Cavanaugh (Kavanaugh).  Nephew of Richard 
and Julia (Cavanaugh) Caton and Patrick and Mary (Cavanaugh) Noon of Putnam 
County.

His sister Margaret was married to Joe Fischer of Sunman, Indiana; Mary to 
Joseph Burkhart and Henry Ball (possibly of Defiance County, Ohio.)
