“Washington Kingsley Roby was born March 25, 1835 in Chenango County, N. Y. 
and was the last surviving member of a family of eleven children. His father 
died two months before he was born.
When but two years old, his mother with her ten children moved to Ohio and 
settled in Madison County, Canaan Township, near the Fuller Mill. His mother 
died at that place when he was ten years old and for a considerable time 
after, he lived with his sisters, Mrs. Paugh and Mrs. Finch.
..…He married September 13, 1857 to Nancy Finch and together they lived on a 
farm adjoining the Finch property until two years ago, when they moved to 
Plain City where he died Thursday of pneumonia. He leaves a wife, two sons and 
a daughter. “
