POLAND – Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cunningham Funeral 
Home for Mrs. Elizabeth J. Beard, 75, of 1359 E. Western Reserve Road, who 
died of complications of diabetes at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday in South Side 
Hospital. She was a patient there 2 ½ weeks. Mrs. Beard was born Sept. 1, 
1903, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Wilson Lute. With her 
husband Arthur R., she owned and operated the Paradise Stock Dairy Farm, New 
Buffalo, from 1930 to 1960. She was a member of Paradise Lutheran Church and a 
1923 graduate of South High School. Besides her husband, whom she married 
April 21, 1926, she leaves two sons, Richard E. of East Liverpool and John B. 
of New Middletown; three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Gould of El Paso, Texas, 
Mrs. Nancy Daugherty of Warren and Mrs. Joanne Deemer, with whom she made her 
home.; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial – 9 June 1979 in Row 2 Paradise Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver Tp, Mahoning 
Co. OH
