Charles Porter Fitch, secretary and treasurer of the Albert Buehrie Co., died 
at 12:45 o’clock last week Thursday afternoon at the family home, Indianola 
Heights, following a four weeks’ illness of Spanish influenza and a 
complication of disease.  Mr. Fitch was born 44 years ago in this place, a son 
of the late Frank and Martha Fitch, and spent his boyhood days at this place.  
Previous to locating in Youngstown he had been associated with the Buehrie 
Co.  where at the time of his death he was secretary and treasurer.  He was a 
member of Evergreen Presbyterian church and a regular attendant at services.  
Twenty-two years ago Mr. Fitch married Miss Jessie Kirk, who survives with two 
children, a daughter, Josephine, and a son Richard Fitch, who resides here; 
one sister, Miss Elizabeth Fitch, also of this place, and a brother, Jesse 
Fitch, of Canfield.  Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday at 
1:30.  The remains were brought here and laid to rest in the village cemetery.
