MARTHA C. NEFF, 81
CANFIELD – Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Canfield Presbyterian Church 
for Martha C. Neff, 81, of 68 W. Main St., formerly of Sun City, Ariz., who 
died Tuesday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mrs. Neff was born Feb. 
25, 1919, in Mercer, a daughter of Thomas F. and Helen H. Davis Cummings. She 
worked at Farmers National Bank in Canfield. A homemaker, she had attended the 
School of Missions in Lakeside and Youngstown Business College. She was a 
member of the church and of United Methodist Women, for which she served two 
terms as president. She was a Girl Scout leader in Canfield, volunteered at 
Boswell hospital in Arizona, and was a member of the Progressive Study Club 
and several bridge clubs here and in Arizona. Besides her husband, Edward L., 
whom she married June 22, 1940, she leaves a son, W. Bruce of Canfield; a 
daughter, Nancy Jo Neff of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren. Two sons, Edward R. and Gary R.; two brothers, Robert and 
William Cummings; and a grandchild are deceased. Friends may call from 6 to 8 
p.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home in Canfield, and for one hour before services 
in the church Saturday.

Burial: Canfield Village Cemetery, Section #8, Lot 4, Graves 3&4
