NOLL, Louisa nee KESSLER/KISTLER Youngstown Vindicator, Mon, 12 Dec 1898, p. 3:4 QUITE SUDDEN Was the Death of Mrs. Louisa Noll, of Summit Avenue. The sudden death of Mrs. Louisa Noll, wife of Henry Noll, at the family home on Summit avenue, Saturday evening, as briefly mentioned in Sunday’s Vindicator, has occasioned much sorrow among all who knew her. She was a very worthy Christian woman, a faithful wife, gentle mother and staunch friend. Saturday she was about the house as usual, and never seemed so happy or cheerful. As evening approached, she complained of feeling ill; and before medical assistance arrived, had crossed the bridge uniting the past and future, her death being very quiet and peaceful. Mrs. Noll was born in Germany in 1825 and in 1848 emigrated to this country, settling in Pennsylvania. In 1872, she came to Youngstown, where she has since resided. Seven children, George, Will, Charles, John and Anna Noll, Mrs. T.C. Gilchrist and Mrs. Andrew Middletown, with a husband and several friends survive. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon, with services at the house at 1:30. Rev. Beohme officiating and burial in Oak Hill cemetery. NOLL, Louisa nee KESSLER/KISTLER Semi-Weekly Telegram, Youngstown, Ohio 12 Dec 1898, p. 4:5 Mrs. Louisa Noll, aged 73 years, the wife of Henry Noll, died suddenly of apoplexy at her late home, 385 Summit avenue, Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock. Mrs. Noll had been about the house all day prior to her death, attending to her customary duties. About 4:00 o’clock she complained of her head feeling heated. She laid down upon a couch and died 30 minutes later. Her daughters, Mrs. Middleton and Miss Anna Noll, were with her, but despite their tender care she died before the arrival of the physician. The deceased was born in Germany and came to America in 1848. She lived for many years in Brownsville, Pa. She came to this city, where she has since resided, in 1872. Preparations were being made to celebrate her golden wedding next spring. She was a member of the Martin Luther church and took great interest in all church affairs. Her disposition was sweet and amiable and she had won a multitude of friends who will be deeply grieved at her loss. Burial - Lot 431 Oak Hill Cemetery, Youngstown, Mahoning Co.
