Mahoning Dispatch 08 Aug 1890
Mrs. Sarah A. Hood, aged 83 years, died at the home of her son-in-law, John 
Sanzenbacher, in this place Tuesday afternoon. Deceased had suffered with 
dropsy for some time, but the immediate cause of her death was due to the 
infirmities of age. She was born in Canfield where she always resided. She 
leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. Sanzenbacher and Mrs. Anthony Monasmith of 
Gilman, Iowa. The funeral will be held this (Friday) afternoon at one o’clock. 
Short services will be held at the residence of Mr. Sanzenbacher, after which 
the remains will be conveyed to the Church North of town where services will 
be conducted by Revs. J.M. Kendig and J.B. Zumpe.  


Additional Comments:
Sarah Ann’s first husband, Charles Oswald, whom she married on 15 Aug 1826, 
died on 20 Sep 1862 at the age of 58 years. After his death Sarah Ann married 
David Hood.
David Hood was also the second husband of Sarah's sister, Mary, and the first 
husband of her sister, Rebecca.
