Mrs. Schnurrenberger was born March 2, 1907 in Canfield, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna Fithian Neff. She was a retired schoolteacher for the Austintown schools and a homemaker. She was a member of the Austintown Community Church for more than 50 years, where she served as church librarian and Sunday School teacher, the Fellowship Class, the Mary Martha Circle, the Austintown Teachers Club and the Austintown Senior Citizens. She was a charter member of the Austintown Garden Club and the Junior Wymodaughsis Literary Club of Canfield. She was active in many community projects, including the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Association. She is survived by two sons, John N. Schnurrenberger of West Mansfield and David Schnurrenberger of Austintown; a daughter, Margaret Ann Remias of Austintown; and six grandchildren, John A. Schnurrenberger of Dallas, Linda Soughan of Milburn, NJ, Susan Ridge of West Mansfield and David W., Katie Ann and Daniel Schnurrenberger, all of Austintown. Her husband, John Armand Schnurrenberger, whom she married in 1927, died Aug. 31, 1998. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Robert and Norman; a sister, Isabelle Bush; and a brother, Martin J. Neff. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home., Austintown Chapel and Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church.
