STRATFORD Thomas G. Stratford, 79, Canfield-Boardman Road, a retired farmer, died of arteriosclerosis Nov. 26 in Massillon State Hospital, following an illness of several months. Born in Youngstown, June 23, 1880, he was a son of Thomas and Margaret Wilson Stratford, and was a life resident of the county. Until a few years ago he had engaged in farming. Mr. Stratford was a member of Argus Lodge No. 445, F.&A.M., and a past-master of Dublin Grange. For many years he served as a township trustee. Besides his wife, the former Blanche Farmer, whom he married Dec. 24, 1902, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Work of Alexandria, Virginia; a son Phil L. Stratford of Boardman; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Elton and Seward, preceded him in death. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Charles F. Fulcomer, were held Saturday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Home, and burial made in the Canfield cemetery.
