CANFIELD – Graveside memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 
Canfield Village Cemetery for Mrs. Geneve Beardsley, 84, of 2625 E. Southern 
Ave., Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Canfield, who died of a heart ailment Oct. 4 in 
Desert Samaritan Hospital, Mesa.
Mrs. Beardsley was born Nov. 20, 1906, in Carmel, Ind., a daughter of Harvey 
and Eldora Painter Barker and move to Arizona in 1987. She and her husband had 
operated a dairy farm in Canfield for many years.
She was a member of Canfield Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder 
and president of both presbyterial and synodical women’s organizations. She 
was active in many community organizations.
Her husband, Ward D., whom she married Aug. 24, 1927, died Jan. 4.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Reed of Stafford, Va., and Mrs. Shirley 
Martz of Sun City Ariz.; a son, Edwin of Des Moines, Iowa; eight 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were Oct. 8 at the church.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to 
Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., Canfield, 44406.
Arrangements were by Chapel of prayer Funeral Home, Mesa, Arizona.
