Schuck, died at the residence of Mrs. H.W. Smith, 129 West Rayen Avenue, last evening at 6 o'clock from paralysis and old age. The deceased would have been 80 years of age next December. She was stricken with the disease that caused death just seven weeks ago. Mrs. Schuck's husband died on the second day of last July. The deceased was born in Greensburg, Hessendarmstadt, Germany. When she reached womanhood she was united in marriage to John Walters. The couple came to America in 1848 and first settled in Warren where they resided a short time. They next moved to this city taking up their residence at Mill Creek. There were then only three dwellings on Mahoning Avenue. They next moved to Crab Creek, where they lived for a few years. From Crab Creek the family moved to Mosier. Their next, and what might have been termed their permanent residence, was at Girard, where the deceased lived for 52 years. Mr. Walters died in the year 1861. Three years later the widow was united in marriage to Gottleib Schuck. Mrs. Schuck was the mother of ten children, eight were born to her first marriage and two to the last. She was for over half a century a member of the English Lutheran church in Girard. She was a good and noble woman, and kind friend and good neighbor. Among those who knew her she held in the highest regard. She is survived by the following children: John Walters, Mrs. Sophia Marshall and Mrs. H.W. Smith of this city; Mrs. E.D. Crum of Girard; William Walters of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Mrs. W.H. Drake of Findlay. Mr. and Mrs. Schuck went to Findlay to live about two years ago. After the death of her husband Mrs. Schuck came to Girard and Youngstown, making her home at the residence of her two daughters, Mrs. H.W. Smith and Mrs. E.D. Crum. When stricken with paralysis she was at the home of Mrs. Smith on West Rayen Avenue, where the remaining days of her long life were spent. Besides her children, 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren are left. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock standard time, from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Smith in this city and at 2 o'clock from the English Lutheran church in Girard. The Revs. Miller and Harter will officiate. Interment in the Girard cemetery.
