 Presbyterian banner. (Pittsburgh, Pa.): August 31, 1864
Died on August 4th, 1864, Mrs. Alice Travis. She was born near Florence, Washington
Co, Pa., October 26th, 1786, and was married to Mr. William Travis, January 2d,
1805. She removed with her husband to Jefferson County, Ohio, 1826, and for
twenty-three years lived in connection with the Island Creek Presbyterian church. In
1849 the family removed to Mahoning County, Ohio, and there she united with the
church of Salem, with which she remained in connection until her death...
