Wilkins, age 87, died last Saturday night [31 Jan 1925] at his home on West Main street of infirmities incident to advanced years He was born in Brownsville, Pa., Nov. 30, 1837, where he grew to manhood. Before coming to Canfield 20 years ago he resided in Clairton, Pa., following his trade of carpenter. On March 25, 1886, he was married to Annie Hill who survives with one son, Ernest Wilkins, Pittsburgh. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Amanda Nichols, of Brownsville, Pa. Funeral services held from the residence Tuesday afternoon [3 Feb 1925] were conducted by Rev. W.P. Hollister, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment was made in the village cemetery. Note: Middle initial could be L., S. or G.
