Neff, g g g granddaughter DIED In Canfield, Ohio, May 25th, Mrs. Jane Wilson, wife of John Wilson, aged sixty- three years. She was a native of Ireland, born and married in the County of Down, and with her husband immigrated to this country in 1826 [sic 1827-1828]. Burial – May 1868 in Section B Row 4 Canfield Village Cemetery, Canfield, Mahoning Co. OH. In this section, there are many other Wilsons and Trimbles, and other persons of Scotch-Irish descent. Additional Comments: John Wilson Born: c 1803 in Ireland Died: 7 Mar 1873 at 70y Married: c 1826 in Ireland Jane Trimble Born: c1805 in Ireland Died: 25 May 1868 at 64y They are buried in Section B Row 4 Canfield Village Cemetery, Canfield, Mahoning Co. Ohio. John and Jane Trimble Wilson emigrated from Northern Ireland to the United States around 1827-1828. On 20 Apr 1829 John made his first land purchase in the U.S. Between 1829 and 1845 he bought and sold many land parcels in the Canfield area. John and Jane Trimble Wilson had seven children, Hugh, Catherine, Robert M., William G., Margaret E., Chauncey M. and Mary A. The oldest child, Hugh, was born c1827 and the place of his birth is unknown. The rest of the children were born in the Dublin area - a small Scotch-Irish settlement at Leffingwell & Rt 62, southwest of Canfield.
