Neff will be celebrated with an open house at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Neff, 85 Sleepy Hollow, Canfield, on Sunday, July 27. Hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Assisting in the observance will be their three other sons, Charles, Edward and Richard, and their wives. There are thirteen grandchildren Mr. Neff, a descendant of a family which settled in Canfield township in 1802, is a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. John E. Neff. Mrs. Neff is the former Laura Noll, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Noll, who came to Canfield from Ingram, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Neff were married in Canfield on July 29, 1908, with the Rev. Willis S. Rowe, then pastor of the Methodist church, the officiating minister. Mr. Neff, formerly engaged in the plumbing business and other enterprises, is now semi-retired, and the couple divide their time between homes in North Miami, Florida, and at 103 East Main Street, Canfield. Neff will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 27, at an open house from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neff, 85 Sleepy Hollow, Canfield. Celebrating with their parents will be Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neff, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Neff, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neff and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neff. The honored couple has 13 grandchildren. The Neffs live at 103 E. Main St., Canfield, and are members of the Canfield Methodist Church. Mr. Neff is from an old established Canfield family, descendents of which have lived there since 1802. [sic 1804] He is well known throughout the district because of his interest in various business enterprises, farming, plumbing, building construction, land development and insurance. Mrs. Neff is the former Laura Noll of Ingram, Pa. They were married in Canfield July 29, 1908 by the Rev. W.S. Rowe, who now resides in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Neff was celebrated with open house at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Neff, Sleepy Hollow. Assisting in receiving the guests, who came from Florida, Pittsburgh, Factoryville and Mercer, Pa., Cleveland, and other communities, were their three other sons, Charles, Edward and Richard, and their wives.Mr. and Mrs. Neff received many greeting and other remembrances in honor of the occasion. Neff today celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary; And whereas Mr. and Mrs. Neff have rendered devoted service over the years to this Church, their children and their grandchildren assuming places of responsibility in the Church and honor in the community; And whereas we have grown to love them and wish to commend their example; Therefore be it highly resolved that we tender them our hearty congratulations on this happy occasion, thanking them for their example of love and devotion each to the other, and praying that God might allow them many more years of rewarding happiness together. A PRAYER - Offered by Rev. J.B. Moody O God, we thank Thee for these Thy servants who have love, honored and cherished each other over the years.
