Medina County Gazette 2/24/1905

Mrs. Sallie Oatman died Monday ( Feb. 20, 1905) at the age of 83 year, 7 months,
and 15 days. Cause of death was exhaustion following an attack of bronchial
pneumonia. The funeral was held at the M.E. church.  Burial was at Spring Grove,
Cemetery.  Sallie Bean was born in Orange County, VT on July 5, 1822.  When she
was 7 yrs old she moved to Abbeyville, Medina County with her parents.  Shortly
afterward, the family moved to Medina Village. In March, 1837, Miss Bean married
Lyman Oatman.  Lyman died in April 1881.Ten children were born to them, seven
still living: Orlin, Simeon S., Lyman, Edwin, Mrs. Adelia Burdoin, Mars Aurilla
Bowman,  and Mrs. Nora Heath.
