Medina County Gazette, Feb., 1939
Dr. A. E. Shaw is buried in Chicago
Death, following an illness of two weeks, claimed Dr. Alonzo E. Shaw at his 
home in Chicago Monday. Dr. Shaw was a native of Medina and for many years 
conducted a jewelry and optical business here. Funeral services and burial 
were held in Chicago, Wednesday.
Dr. Shaw, who moved to Chicago about 15 years ago, was a son of George Moody 
and Anna Fuller(should read Fretter) Shaw of Lafayette township. He is 
survived by his wife and three sons, Byron, Carol and Huldine, all of whom 
reside in Chicago. Two sisters, Miss Zada Shaw of Medina and Mrs. Lena Myers 
of Lafayette, and two brothers, Earl of Lafayette and Frank of Cleveland, also 
survive.
