W. McClenathan of the same place have bargained and sold and do hereby bargain sell and convey unto the said G.W. McClenathan his heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Meigs in the State of Ohio and in the Township of Lebanon and bounded and described as follows. Beginning at a stake on the bank of the Ohio River at the corner of a small lot owned by Lawrence Jenks, thence west seventeen and a half perches to the Northwest corner of said Jenks lot. thence south eight perches to the line of hundred acre Lot no. 146 thence west with the line of said hundred acre lot to John Andersons southwest corner, thence North with said Andersons line so far that a line drawn east to the Ohio River thence down the river to the place of beginning will include forty two acres. To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said G. W. McClenathan his heirs and assigns forever. Provided always and these presents are upon this condition that whereas the said Nicholas Richardson hath executed to said G. W. McClenathan his promissory note of even date herewith for the payment of the following sums of money at the times following. Three hundred dollars on the first of March AD 1847 three hundred dollars on the first of March AD 1848 and then three hundred dollars on the first of March AD 1849 with interest on said payments from dates Now if the said Nicholas Richardson shall pay said several sums of money to said G. W. McClenathan as his assigns when the same respectively become due with the interest then these presents to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force In testimony whereof the said Nicholas Richardson and Hannah Richardson have hereunto set their hands and seal this 20th day of June AD 1846 signed Nicholas Richardson Hannah Richardson Executed in presence of Henry S. Lawrence Thomas W. Smith The State of Ohio Meigs County Before me Henry S. Lawrence a Justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named Nicholas Richardson and Hannah his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within and above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Hannah being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument made known to her by me she there declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewithin this 20TH day of June AD 1846 Henry S.
