All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sara Kelly Edward.F.Kelly@verizon.net February 16, 2004, 4:43 pm Lebanon Township, Meigs County, Ohio Written: October 16 1845 Know all men by these presents that I Hannah Gover of the County of Meigs and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars in hand paid by Nicholas Richardson of the same place do hereby revise release and forever quite claim unto the said Nicholas Richardson his heirs and assigns forever all my title interest and estate legal and equitable in the following premises with the appurtenances situate in the County of Meigs and State of Ohio and in the Township of Lebanon and bounded and described as follows. Beginning at a stake south of a large sugar tree on the bank of the Ohio river nearly in front of the Methodist Meeting house at the south east course of the farm owned and occupied by James Amsden and Ruth Lauk thence west one hundred and eighty one perches and five tenth to a stake on the section line, thence south forty perches and then ten links to a stake, thence east one hundred and ten perches and six tenths to a stake, thence south three perches to a stake, thence east nine perches to a stake, thence north three perches to a stake, thence east ninety two perches on the bank of the Ohio river, thence up the river with its meanders to the place of beginning being a part of Fractional section no. eight in Township No. three, Range no. eleven in the Ohio Company Purchase containing fifty acres and twenty seven perches be the same more or less. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of October AD 1845 Signed Hannah Grover Executed in the presence of Henry L. Lawrence James Amsden State of Ohio, Meigs County Before me Henry S. Lawrence Justice of the peace in and for said County Personally appeared the within named Hannah Grover and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be her voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein expressed this sixteenth day of October AD 1845.
