CHOLERA - We understand that a Mr. Joseph Richards, a jeweler, died very 
suddenly last Saturday at Gallipolis.  His disease was supposed to be cholera.

MARRIED - by. The Rev. C. H. Warren, on the 16th inst., Mr. John Roberts, Jr. 
to Miss Zimrade A. Bicknell, all of Great Bend, Meigs county, O.

On the 16th inst, by Rev. E. Sibley, Mr. Winter S. Cook and Miss Lucinda 
Kerr, all of Salisbury, Meigs county, O

On Wednesday, May 2d, at the residence of P. H. Murray, Esq., by Rev. B. N. 
Sphar, Dr. John W. Spry of Portsmouth, O., and Miss Louisa Davey, formerly of 
Alexandria, Virginia.

SHERIFF'S SALE [abstracted]
On June 16, 1855 at the courthouse in Meigs Co, for land situated in Sec. # 
29, Twp. # 3, Range # 11 of the Ohio Company's purchase.  Described as starting 
at top of bank on north side of mouth of Shade River, at Wm Hick's corner, 
south to bank of creek, down the meanders of creek to place of beginning, 400 
acres sold as the property of Jeremiah Gray to satisfy a judgment against him 
in 
favor of Neff & Brother.  Appraised at $600.00
