The first-named was sent to jail – the other was fined. BURGLARS AND THAVIES ABOUT The cellars of J. M. Lowrey and Jas. Rallston were broken open night before last, and robbed of every thing valuable to be found there. NOTICE is hereby given that the subscriber has been appointed, and duly empowered and authorized to administer on the estate of John N. Batterson, late of Meigs county, deceased. Dated at Pomeroy, May 6, 1855. Esther Batterson. FIRE -- Just as we were going to press, an alarm of fire was started, and the town was brilliantly lighted up. The stables of Geo. Hossick, and the Banks House were entirely consumed.
