Smith removed to the West sometime ago. He supposed that we were aware of it, and that Mr. Smith had ordered the paper discontinued. His paper was probably paid for up to the time of his removal. At least, he is credited up to last November. MARRIED On Sunday morning, 1st inst., by Rev. S. C. Frampton, Mr. Josiah Philson to Miss Elizabeth C. Cable, all of Pomeroy. On Thursday, the 12th inst., by the Rev. S. C. Frampton, Mr. Josiah Huntly, to Miss Martha Lee, all of Meigs Co., O. On June 5th, 1856, in Chester township, Meigs county, O., by Rev. J. Barringer, Mr. Albert Torrence, to Miss Fanny Halsey, of Meigs Co., O. On Thursday, the 5th inst., at Chester, Meigs Co., O., by Rev. George Wideman, Mr. John Eiselstein, to Miss Barbara Ihle, both of Pomeroy. SHERIFF’S SALE By virtue of an execution to me directed from the Court of Common Pleas of Jefferson county, Ohio, I will offer for sale, at the door of the Court-house in Pomeroy, at 4 o’clock, P. M., on the 21st day of June, 1856, the following property, to wit: One Rifle Gun; sold as the property of Daniel Householder, at the suit of John Devow. J. V. Smith, S.M.C.
