Minersville Man Dies of Pneumonia  Today

Pomeroy, Dec. 31.  -- (Staff Special)
Joseph Garland, 74, a  well-known resident of Minersville, died at his home 
this morning at 7 o'clock  of pneumonia which developed from a bad case of 
influenza.

Mr. Garland  was a staunch member of the Minersville Methodist Church and of 
the Pomeroy Odd  Fellows Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Ethel, a teacher in the  Pomeroy High 
School, and Clara of the home.

No funeral arrangements have  been announced.
