Newspaper-January 1912 Elias Story One of Bedford Township's Most Substantial and Respected Citizens Dead In the death of Elias Story Bedford township loses one of its most substantial and respected citizens. Years ago he spend several years in the then wilds of what is now the state of Montana and brought back with him a competence to which he has added by industry and careful management. He was married three times. His first wife being Catherine Beaty, who died many years ago. To this union was born one son Elias, Jr. who died while on a trip to Honolulu for his health and after amassing a considerable fortune. Mr. Story's second wife was Lucy Carper. She died some years ago leaving two daughters, Desty, now Mrs. R. F. Perry, of Flora, Ohio and Nora, now Mrs. A. C. Roecher of Bozeman, MT. Several years ago he married a Mrs. Blackwood, who survives him. Mr. Story had passed the 77th milestone of life. He has not been in robust health for some years but had not ceased his active habits of life and was stricken down while out about his daily duties by dread paralysis. His funeral took place Tuesday at Burlingham, conducted by Elder M. A. Harvey and his mortal remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
