Meigs County Telegraph
August 25, 1857

Died in Pomeroy August 13, 1857, Thomas EWING in the 68th year of his age. 
The deceased was born in Tyrone Co., Ireland 1790. At age 10 he came with 
his parents and settled in Chester county, Pennsylvania. At age 25 he united 
with the Presbyterian Church at Allegheny, Pennsylvania where he resided 
until 1847 when he removed to Columbiana Co., Ohio. About two years since, 
he came to Pomeroy and remained up to the time of his death.
