Mrs. Mary Fruth, grandmother of our townsman, Frank Diehl died at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. John Schlosser Glen Roy, Ohio, Monday, August 17th at the 
advanced age of 94 years.  Mrs. Fruth was born in Germany and came to this 
country in 1845.  She lived in the Nease Settlement until the death of her 
husband, Henry Fruth, in 1874, since when she has lived mostly in this city and 
Mason City until last May, when she went to Glen Roy.  Shortly after arriving 
there she began to fail and never recovered.  Her remains were brought here 
Wednesday and interred at Nease Settlement.
