Daisy Proffitt
Daisy Myrtle Proffitt, 83, a resident of Belpre, passed away there Friday 
night. 

Born in Ravenswood, W. Va. Mrs. Proffitt was the daughter of the late Watt and 
Barbara Knox.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Proffitt, 
in April of 1957. 

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Carl, both of Parkersburg; five step-
children, Elmer Proffitt, Portland; Elizabeth Macelane, Columbus; Helen 
Harris, Portland; Nellie Cohen, St. Marys, W. Va. and William Proctor, Paris, 
O.; 30 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 3 great great great 
grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at the Ewing Funeral home at 2 p.m. with 
the Rev. Clarence Proffitt officiating.  Burial will be in the Great Bend 
Baptist cemetery, R.D., Racine.  Friends may call at the funeral home 
anytime.  Mrs. Proffitt was a member of the Great Bend Methodist church.
