Obituary - Mercer County Chronicle - September 13, 1990

Alvina M. Bruns, 84, Fort Recovery-Minster Road, Cranberry, died Saturday, 
September 8 at 9 p.m. at Celina Manor Nursing Home of complications. She was 
born September 28, 1905, in St, Sebastian to Charles and Caroline (Will) 
Schwieterman and January 14, 1929, she married in Dayton to Ernest Bruns, who 
died in 1971. surviving are there sons, Robert, John (Jack) and Dennis, all of 
Cranberry; a daughter, Mrs. Edgar (Judy) Bills, Coldwater; a brother, Ray 
Schwieterman, Burkettsville; a sister, Alma Knapke, Dayton; 26 grandchildren 
and 32 great grandchildren. A daughter, Jean Fortman; three brothers, three 
sisters and a grandchild are deceased. She was a member of St. Francis 
Catholic Church, Cranberry, and the ladies sodality of the parish. Services 
were held Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Arnold Meiring officiated. Burial 
is in the church cemetery.
