The deceased was stricken with paralysis about five years ago which affected her left side, but she had recovered sufficiently to be about. Some three weeks ago she accidently fell while walking in the yard and broke her hip and this was the ultimate cause of her death. Anna Mary Droppelman was born in Ankum, Germany, 85 years ago and was united in marriage to Henry Kallmeyer in 1843, when they migrated to America and first settled in Cincinnati, where they resided for ten years. In 1853 they moved to Coldwater and were among the early settlers of the county and were highly respected. Her husband preceded her in death a few years ago. She was a devout member of the Catholic church and was a faithful attendant at church when her health would permit. A dutiful wife, kind and affectionate mother and a neighbor whom it was a pleasure to know has gone to her eternal reward. She was the mother of nine children, three of whom preceded her in death. The surviving children are; Mrs. Mary Pohl, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Mrs. Henry Hoying, Mrs. Anna Herman, Mrs. Ben Tangeman and Herman Kallmeyer, of Coldwater; and Mrs. C.J. Hemmert of Celina. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters- John Droppleman of Cincinnati; Mrs. Elizabeth Albers, of Coldwater, and Sister Mary Licle, of Notre Dame Convent, Washington, D.C. Funeral services were held from Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater, Wednesday morning and were largely attended.
