Obituary - Daily Standard
Julius Forsthoefel, 90, 411 W. Main St., Coldwater, died March 24 at Briarwood 
Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, where he had been a patient for one day. Mr. 
Forsthoefel was born October 9, 1896 in Carthagena, the son of Frank and Mary 
(Staugler) Forsthoefel. He is survived by a sister, Pauline Forsthoefel and 
two brothers, Richard and Jerry Forsthoefel, all of Coldwater. He was preceded 
in death by four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Forsthoefel was a member of 
holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and the Holy Name society. He was the 
oldest living retiree of Avco New Idea, having retired in 1963. A funeral mass 
was held Friday at the church, the Rev. Glen Perin, officiating. Burial 
followed in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Hogenkamp's Funeral Home, 
Coldwater had charge of arrangements.
