Huerkamp, Mercer-co coroner, in the death of L. A. Hall, 68, prominent farmer of Neptune, about six miles northeast of Celina. Hall's lifeless body was found at the foot of a stairway in the barn on his farm by his wife. Deputy Sheriff Bruce Barber and Coroner Huerkamp said facts indicated the death was accidental. TOOK GUN TO SHOOT AT DOG Mrs. Hall, who was the only other person on the farm at the time, said that her husband arose at his usual hour this morning to do the milking. After finishing the milking, he returned to the house and secured the shotgun, telling his wife that he had noticed a dog after his flock of sheep. He evidently had started to ascend the stairs in the barn, ostensibly to attempt to shoot the dog from the upper floor, and in some unexplained manner discharged the shotgun. The charge entered his head and caused instantaneous death, the coroner said. Surviving in addition to the wife are two sons, Harry and Guy, both of California, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Grothjan of Washington, D. C.
