 Floyd Mihm

Floyd Mihm, 93, rural Rockford
died at 7 p.m. Wednesday
at Shane Hill Nursing Home,
Rockford, where he had been 
a patient for four months.

He was born in Rockford,
Dec. 11, 1897 to Orlando and
Lucy (Mottinger) Mihm, and he
was married May 7, 1919 to
Lena Zizelman, who died
March 11, 1985.

Surviving are a son, Ernest,
Rockford; two daughters, Mrs.
Norman (Flora) Stoner,
Celina, and Mrs. Laurence
(Mary) Michael, Rockford;
and seven grandchildren,
seven great-grandchildren and 
two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death
by six brothers, Charles, Earl,
Clarence, Bert, Ray and Ted;
and six sisters, Leona Blossom,
Ethel and Alveretta Mihm, 
Nellie Shaffer, Grace
Exline and Lexie Boroff.

Mr. Mihm was a retired
farmer and a member of
Shane’s Aerie 1292 Fraternal
Order of Eagles, Rockford.

Services will be held at 10:30
a.m. Saturday at Ketcham and
Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford,
the Rev. Ray Daniel Jr.
officiating.  Burial will follow
in Riverside Cemetery, 
Rockford.

Friends may call at the
funeral home 2-9 p.m. Friday.
The Eagles will hold services
at 8:30 p.m.
