He was born July 17, 1922, in Mercer County, to Floyd and Lena Zizelman Mihm. On Oct. 12, 1946, he married Betty Dean Jordan who died May 12, 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Dave) Sheets, Mendon, and Elaine (Jim) Geyer, Galloway; two sisters, Mary Michael, Rockford, and Flora (Norman) Stoner, Celina; a grandchild and a great-grandchild. He was a farmer who had worked at New Idea in Coldwater and at Mercer Elevator. He was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church, as well as, Free and Accepted Masons and American Legion Post 508, also of Rockford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Ketcham- Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Mike Berne officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, with the American Legion conducting military rites. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held there at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.
