Staugler, 82, 414 S. Second St., Coldwater, died at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 12 at Community Hospital, Coldwater. He was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Coldwater, to Charles John and Catherine Marie Herman Staugler. Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Clarence and Margaret and Ernie and Rita, all of Coldwater; three sisters and their husbands, Irene and Ralph Meinerding, Wapakoneta, Germaine and Anthony Steinbrunner, Montezuma, and Kathleen and Bernard Muhlenkamp, Coldwater, and a sister, Joan of Coldwater; and three sisters-in-law, Irene Staugler, Coldwater, Carolyn Staugler, Montezuma, and Joan Mescher, Celina. Deceased are five brothers, Herbert, Henry Paul, William, Robert and Ralph, and three sisters, Helen, Mary Lillian and Ernestine. He formerly worked at the former Pet Milk and New Idea in Coldwater and was currently employed at Sanning's Service Station, Coldwater. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church , the Holy Name Society of the church and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5135, all of Coldwater. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with the VFW conducting military rites. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Contributions can be made to Coldwater Emergency Medical Services.
