This Indenture made this twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty Six between Thomas Yates of the
County of Miami and State of Ohio of the first part and Jonathan Hamman of
the County and State aforesaid of the Second part part Wlitnesseth that the
Said Thomas Yates for and in Consideration of the Sum of One thousand and
Seventy  five dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained and Sold and by  these presents do
grant bargain Sell alien release Convey and Confirm unto the Said Jonathan
Hamman his heirs and assigns forever All the tract or parcel of land
described as follows viz

Eighty five acres Situate lying and being in the South Side of the North
half of Section number Thirty four of Township two of Range eleven M.B.O.
extending from east to west across (?) the Section.  To Have and To Hold
the premises aforesaid with all the privileges and appurtenences thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining and the rents issues and profits
thereof unto him the Said Jonathan Hamman his heirs and assigns forever.
and the Said Thomas Yates for himself his heirs executors and
administrators doth Covenant and agree to and with the Said Jonathan Hamman
his heirs and assigns that he is the lawful owner of the premises aforesaid
that he has good right and lawful authority to Sell and Convey the Same in
manner aforesaid and further that he the Said Thomas Yates will Well and
truly Warrant and forever defend the premises aforesaid unto the Said
Jonathan Hamon and to his heirs and assigns against the lawful Claim and
demands of all and every person or persons Whomsoever In testimony whereof
the Said Thomas Yates together with Nancy D. his wife who for value
received doth hereby relinquish her rights and title of Dower in the above
described premises have here unto Set there hands and Seals the day and
year first above writen

On the 20th day of September A D. 1836 before me John Webb a justice of
the    witihin and for Said County personally Came Thomas Yates and Nancy
D. Yates the grantors of the within deed of Conveyance and each
acknowledged the Signing and Sealing of the Same to be there voluntary act
and Deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed the Said Nancy D Yates
being by  me examined Seperate and apart from her husband & the Contents of
Said Deed being to her fully made known & explained declared that She
Signed and Sealed the Same freely and of her own good will without fear or
Coercion of her husband  Given under my hand and Seal the date above writen
