Hydraulic Meeting

There will be another Hydraulic meeting, at City hall, on to-morrow
Thursday Evening.
Books will be open to receive subscriptions, and all interested in the
construction of the work, are earnestly invited to attend. Come forward,
gentlemen, and put down your stock at once, and you will soon have the
Hydraulic.

The cholera is prevailing in alarming extent in New York

THe cholera has broken out in CIncinnati, and several deaths have
occurred from it within the last few days.

Ration money Payable.---Congress has just passed a joint resolution
authorizing the payment of commutation of rations to prisoners of war.

An Epidemic.---A disease called by physicians Typhoid Flux, is quite
generally prevailing in this city. In no case has it proven fatal.

The Legislature of Pennsylvania in 1764 passed the following: Resolved,
That no member of the Legislature will be allowed to come into the House
barefooted.

The weather, for the last week or more, has been so wet and stormy as to
damage the wheat and oats in shock, and to blow down large quantities of
corn in this latitude.---Sidney Democrat.
