Marvel G. Arnold, 102, of 237 E. Main St., Piqua, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, 
Aug. 24, 2006, in Piqua Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 20, 1904, in Miami County, to the late Ward and Lida 
(Bigger) Russell.
She married Omer Chrowel, who preceded her in death in 1952. She then married 
Virgil Arnold in 1955; he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, James B. and Naomi Russell of 
Piqua; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two 
sisters, Mary Libbee and Alice Marie Russell; and five brothers, George, 
Vinnedge, John, Art, and Bob Russell.
Mrs. Arnold attended Piqua area schools, the former Evangelical United 
Methodist Church and was a homemaker all of her life.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Fletcher Cemetery 
with the Rev. Jack Chalk officiating
