Baker, 77, of Fletcher, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Wilma was born March 1, 1932, in Shelby County, a daughter of the late Grover and Elsie (Moon) Lemmon. She married George Edwards Baker on Oct. 12, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1979. | Wilma is survived by three children and their spouses, Elaine and Dick Newberg of Fletcher, Kathy and Larry Millhouse of Richwood and Dick and Marianne Baker of St. Paris. She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Jamie Newberg of Cleveland, Tenn. Shonda and Mark Newberg of Lebanon, Stephanie (Scott) Millhouse-Abernathy of Worthington, Holli (Allen) Millhouse-Stinemetz of Zanesfield, Marisa Baker of Springfield and four great- grandchildren, Alec, Jake, Joshua, and Brent. She also is survived by a sister, Elsie Bartel-Clayton of Sidney; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Lemmon of Piqua; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Baker; two grandchildren, John and Paul Newberg; a sister and brother- in-law, Mary Lois and Ernest Scale Sr.; two brothers, Roger and Charles Lemmon; and a brother-in-law, Gene Bartel. Wilma was a 1950 graduate of Green Township High School. She was a member of the GreenView United Church of Christ, Sidney. She retired in 1998 as a data processor for the Piqua and Dettmer hospitals. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher with the Rev. Darrin Harvey of GreenView United Church of Christ presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
