Bierly, 72, of Fletcher passed away unexpectedly at approximately 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in his residence. Lynn was born July 21, 1938, in Piqua, the son of the late Harold E. and Dorothy (Moore) Bierly. He married Nancy Pearson on March 21, 1959, and she survives in Fletcher. Together, they raised three children, Scott (Karen) Bierly of Piqua, Tod (Barbara) Bierly of Troy and Heather (Jeff) McCuistion of Troy. He was a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Amber (Rich) Morrett, Scott (Robin) Bierly Jr., Amy (Bob) Hilyard, Jackie (Chris) Hale, Becky Bierly, Eddie Bierly, Brandon Bierly, Ashley McCuistion (Tyler Bever), Alyssa McCuistion, Arika McCuistion, and Alivia McCuistion; 14 great-grandchildren, Allison, Reagan, Bryce, Makayla, Dustin, Meagan, Jessica, Alex, Cheyenne, Blaine, Logan, Alexis, Zoe, and Rylee. Lynn also is survived by a sister, Pam Kiser-Monnier of Covington; nephew Sean (Jennifer) Kiser and their children Haley, Seth and Emily, niece Michale (Doug) Lind and son, Jordan, all of Piqua; and an aunt and uncle, Janet and Dick Emrick of Lewisburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Holly and Jeremy Bierly; and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Bierly. Lynn was a 1958 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He was the owner of Piqua Custom Painting. He served on the Fletcher Fire Department from 1963 to 2002, and was at one time the fire chief. He formerly served on the Heritage Festival Board and Committee. He attended the Courts of Praise in Troy and the Vandalia Christian Tabernacle. Lynn was the best husband and father and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 S. Walnut St., Fletcher, with Mr. Glenn Devers and the Rev. James Wheeler co-officiating. The Miami County Firefighters Honor Guard will conduct services as well. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
