Virginia K. Blakney, 84, of Piqua, died Monday June 20, 2005, at 3 p.m. in the 
Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 16, 1920, in Piqua to the late 
Francis and Ethel Manson McKinley. She married Robert Blakney and he preceded 
her in death.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Susan (Hess) and Larry 
Centrulla of Brookville, Ind. and Vickie Hess-Pallo of Atlanta, Ga.; two 
grandchildren, Heather and Todd Pallo; and four great-grandchildren; and one 
sister, Charlyne McMaken of Piqua.
Mrs. Blakney was a Piqua Central High School graduate, Class of 1938 and she 
was a devoted mother and grandmother and was a homemaker all of her life. She 
was as member of the Ladies Bridge Club.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Jamieson & 
Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Toon officiating. Burial will follow 
in the Fletcher Cemetery.
