PIQUA - Beatrice Evelyn Bodey, 97, of Piqua, passed away at 10:19 p.m., on 
Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in her residence. Born on June 19, 1913, Beatrice 
was a daughter of the late Ernest Ray and Martha (Shawler) Hetzler. She 
married Charles Bodey in November 1939 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 
25, 1967.
She is survived by four children, B. Joan (Clarence) Neth, of Piqua, Linda 
(Robert) Heber, of Kirkwood, Joe (Betty) Bodey, of Piqua, and Nancy (John) 
Moore, of Piqua; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also 
survived by two sisters, Nancy Roetter, of Mebane, N.C., Pat Delk, of West 
Milton and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four 
sisters.
Beatrice was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church. She attended Brown 
Township Schools. She was formerly employed by Atlas Underwear, of Piqua and 
Stolle's of Sidney.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m., in the 
Fletcher Cemetery, North Walnut Street, Fletcher with Reverend Fred Peterson, 
of the Spring Creek Baptist Church presiding.
