A. Gordon Bumgardner, 91, of 17867 E. Miami-Shelby Road, Fletcher, passed away 
Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Ports-mouth, the son of George and Grace 
(McGraw) Bumgardner.
He married Agnes Kinninger Scherer, May 19, 1956, and she survives with a 
daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Hawkins of Fletcher; four grandchildren, 
seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, 
Juanita "Peg" Milbourn of Troy and Rowena "Nickie" Wills of Highland, Ala.
He was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil Dale and Dora 
Scherer; and two brothers, Herbert Bumgardner and William Bumgardner.
Mr. Bumgardner retired as superintendent at Aerovent Fan Company, Piqua, in 
1985. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at New Hope Church of God 
with the Rev. Phillip G. Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Fletcher 
Cemetery
