Mary E. Burch, 52, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Piqua, passed away at 11:55 
p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in St. Luke's East Hospital in Fort Thomas, Ky.
She was born on Oct. 14,1951, in Piqua, the daughter of the late James Brokaw 
and Maxine (Miles) Brokaw. She is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Burch of 
Louisville, Ky., whom she married on May 19, 1973; daughter, Courtney Burch of 
Cincinnati; her mother, Maxine Brokaw Caven of Columbus; sister and brother-in-
law; Becky and Mike Speed of Columbus, her mother-in-law, Joan Burch of Piqua; 
and a niece and nephew. In addition to her father, James Brokaw, Mary was 
preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Burch.
Mary was of the Christian faith. She graduated in 1970 from Piqua High School 
and received an Associate's Degree from Miami Jacobs College in Dayton. She 
was formerly employed by Ohio Casualty Insurance Company of Cincinnati.
Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery
